Problem with reinstallation of airline files FS9
« on: March 09, 2016, 05:56:57 AM »
Hi
I'm trying to reinstall all of the files into my new laptop but am having issues with them properly installing

Every time I upload a file with the installer it doesn't put the files in their appropriate places create AI traffic. The uploader simply adds a new folder in my FS9 file with airline name and the applicable files inside (aircraft, scenery followed text files for aircraft000,airports000,Flightplans000,readme and CFG

I previously had WOAI on my previous computer for years and never encountered this problem. Any idea what I'm missing or did wrong?

Thanks

Ok it stopped putting the files in a folder in my FS9 folder. But now the files are kind of going through. If i download one at a time it seems like they go through, but nothing appears in when i go to flightsim and there are no AI airplane files in aircraft folder. If i try to do more then one file at a time or try to reload a previously "uploaded" file, I get an error message exception. "could not find a part of path c:\users\woain24\scenery\world\scenery\traffic_000_

Here's the link I used to upload
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9

it sounds me more that you use the extract function rather then in the install function

the extract function only extracts the files but does not install them, so do nit us that

Actually It wont let me use the extract function as the program "bombs"

I have found the aircraft after I do the installation as an aircraft folder appears in the temp folder where I have the WOAI installer located. I cant find where any of the other files went. I still use this when i try to install the files

Attached are the screenshots showing what happens when I try to upload directly to Flightsim Folder.

The files aircraft and scenery files are sent to separate areas. Aircraft from the upload creates an aircraft file in my temp folder for the WOAI installer.
The scenery files creates folder in my C: drive

Any idea why this occurs?
