A Few Newbie Questions
« on: January 29, 2018, 12:10:49 AM »
Hi I am new to woai in fact new to the whole concept of AI Aircraft if this is the right place to post I have a couple of questions please.
1/ Do Ai installed packages go to all airports or just specific ones.
2/Can woai installer be used to install AI other than those from Woai or do they have to ne installed manually.
3/If i were to create flight plans for AI aircraft do i have to make sure that the aircraft im creating the plan for is actually at the airport or does Flight planner take care of it.
Well enough questions for now ,i may need help later though lol
Im using FSX SE flight sim with a very powerful PC ,well higher end lol.
This is my first post so please be gentle what seems elementary to some ppl is quite hard for others im 71 and things take a bit longer to absorb lol.
If anyone can help please i would much appreciate it.

Kind Regards
Andrew

in answer to your questions:

1. the AI traffic goes to the airports specified in the flightschedule ( see airports.txt) so only those airports are visited.
2. The WOAI installer only installs WOAI packages.
3. WOAI uses real world timetables that are converted to AI flight schedules.
You can use AIFP (AI Flight Planner available on avsim and others) to create schedules.

Happy simming

hi thank you so much for your reply so the fact that I cant see many Ai aircraft is because I haven't been to the airports that are being visited by that particular airline
I cant seem to locate
. the AI traffic goes to the airports specified in the flightschedule ( see airports.txt) so only those airports are visited.
Kind regards

when you do a manual decompile of a package you will get the folder structure In one of the folder you will find the 3 text files that form the flightplan.bgl so there you can check the visited airports
